Former Mayor Giri dies in road accident


Syangja. Former Mayor of Chapakot Municipality, Shiva Giri, died in a road accident last night. Giri,60, died when the vehicle (Ba.15 Cha. 1709) he was travelling in went out of control and crashed.

The vehicle going from Rangkhola to Syangja, when it met with an accident at Siddhartha Highway in Putlibazar-10 Rangkhola at 11:00 pm last night, Spokesperson of District Police Office Syangja, Rabindra Khanal said.

Giri was a resident of Darsing in Chapakot-4. The driver of the vehicle Suraj Nepali, 32, has been taken into custody for necessary action.
