The British College Announces Career Fest 2024: Tackling Brain Drain and Bridging Talent with Opportunity

Kathmandu. The British College is delighted to announce its Career Fest 2024 in association with Growth Sellers, a groundbreaking two-day event that, for the first time in Nepal, opens its doors to all the job seekers and employers from across the country. The event is set to take place on 25 and 26 November 2024 at The British College, Thapathali, Kathmandu. This event aims to bring together students, alumni, and top employers under one roof, fostering a dynamic platform for recruitment, networking, and knowledge exchange.

This year’s Career Fest promises the participating employers a unique opportunity to connect with a diverse pool of talented individuals ready to contribute to their organisations. With more than 50 leading national and multinational companies from various industries, employers will have the chance to showcase their organisations, share insights about their work culture, and identify potential candidates through on-the-spot interviews and interactive sessions. The event is designed to streamline the hiring process by providing direct access to skilled and motivated job seekers.

Dr Patrick McCrudden, Deputy Principal of The British College, underscores the importance of such initiatives, particularly in addressing the pressing issue of brain drain in Nepal. He said, “In today’s competitive job market, many of our brightest minds are seeking opportunities abroad. Career Fest 2024 aims to bridge this gap by creating a platform for employers to tap into local talent and for job seekers to find fulfilling careers within Nepal. It’s the events like these that can help curb the outflow of talent, fostering a stronger economy and a brighter future of the country.”

Founder of Growth Sellers, Mohan Ojha, speaking on behalf of the organising team, encouraged potential job seekers to seize this opportunity, “We invite all job seekers to apply and meet companies aligned with their career goals during this two-day event. This is a unique chance to make connections that could shape your future. Priority will be given to those who register earlier, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to connect with your preferred employers.”

The Career Fest is more than a job fair; it’s a hub for professional development. Attendees will have access to CV review workshops, career guidance sessions, and masterclasses, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to thrive in the modern workforce. TBC is proud to promote this event to cater to the graduates of the country, providing them with valuable opportunities and resources to succeed in their chosen fields.
